Website Audit
Find Out What Your Website Is Actually Doing to Visitors
You look at your website every day, which is exactly why you can't see it anymore. The headline that made sense in 2021, the button that's the same color as everything around it, the slider nobody waits for. A first-time visitor sees all of it in about four seconds and decides whether to keep going.
A website audit is that first look, done carefully and written down. We go through your live site page by page, section by section, and document what's working against you and what to do about it, annotated directly on screenshots of your actual pages. Not a list of best practices. A punch list.
What Makes Our Website Audit Different
Most website audits are a PDF of automated tool output with a logo on top. Forty pages of "your images could be smaller" and a color-coded score nobody knows what to do with.
Ours is built around judgment, not a score. Every finding is reviewed by someone who has been building and fixing websites since 2003, and every one of them is something a real visitor runs into: a headline that doesn't say what you do, two calls to action fighting each other, a form that asks for too much, a footer with no phone number. Each one is numbered, marked on a screenshot of the section it lives in, and paired with a specific fix.
You get the audit as a single visual document your whole team can read in ten minutes, and your developer can work from directly. If we're the ones who end up making the changes, great. If your team does it, the audit works just as well.
Every audit is:
- ✓ Judgment, not a score – A scan can tell you an image is too big. It can't tell you your homepage never says what you sell. We look for the second kind.
- ✓ Annotated on your real pages – Problems and fixes are marked on screenshots, so nobody has to guess what "the hero section" means.
- ✓ Prioritized – We tell you the three things to fix first and why, then everything else.
- ✓ Written for humans – Plain language a CEO, a marketing director, and a developer can all act on without a translator.
Who This Is For
Marketing leads who inherited a website and want an honest outside read before deciding what to do with it.
Companies planning a redesign who want to know what's actually broken before paying someone to rebuild all of it.
Businesses whose site gets traffic but not leads sites, and can't tell where visitors are dropping off.
Agencies and consultants who want a professional health check they can bring to their own clients (white label available).
Page-by-Page Findings
Every key page reviewed top to bottom: header, hero, content sections, calls to action, footer. Nothing is skipped because it's "just the footer." The footer is where visitors go looking for your phone number.
Problems Paired With Fixes
We don't just point at what's wrong. Every finding comes with a concrete recommendation: what to change, why, and roughly how hard it is. Your developer can start from the audit the same day.
Annotated Screenshots
Each problem is numbered and marked on a screenshot of the actual section. You see exactly where it is and what we mean. No hunting through your site with a 40-page report open in another tab.
Desktop and Mobile
Half your visitors are on a phone, and your site behaves differently there. We check both, and we call out the things that only break on mobile (the hero image that never loads, the menu that hides your one call to action).
How an Audit Works
Scope -
We look at your site and agree on which pages to audit. You don't audit every URL. You audit the pages that matter plus one example of each page template, because fixing a template fixes every page built on it. A 200-page site usually comes down to 8 to 12 pages worth reviewing.
Review -
We go through each page section by section on desktop and mobile, as a first-time visitor would. We're looking at hierarchy, messaging, calls to action, trust signals, readability, and the technical basics that affect all of them (headings, page titles, broken links, load behavior).
Document -
Every finding is numbered, marked on a screenshot, and paired with a fix. We add a short "if you only fix three things" list at the top so you know where to start.
Walk Through -
You get the audit as a PDF, plus a call to go through it together if you want one. Questions, priorities, what's a quick win versus a project. Then it's yours to act on, with us or without us.

Common Questions About Website Audits
A single-page audit (usually the homepage) takes a few days. A core-pages audit of 5 or so pages is about a week. Larger sites are scoped up front, and we'll give you a date before we start.
It depends on how many pages are in scope. A homepage audit is typically a few hundred dollars; a full core-pages audit is more. Tell us the site and we'll give you a number the same day.
No. The audit is written so any competent developer or in-house team can work from it. Plenty of clients take it and run. If you'd rather we handle the fixes, we can scope that after you've seen the audit, not before.
No, and that's on purpose. An SEO audit is about how search engines see your site. This is about how people see it once they arrive. We check the technical basics that affect both (page titles, heading structure, broken links, mobile rendering), but the focus is on what a visitor experiences and whether the page moves them toward contacting you. If you need a full SEO audit, that's a separate service and we'll tell you if you need one.
